he main reason its been so long since I've updated anything is because I've hardly brought anything to a finish lately, this is about as finished as anything Ive done has gotten.

Ive been kinda taking a practice period to improve overall, especially with color, light, and environments, and I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of this shit!

I might refine one of the paintings I've done or just start bringing things to more of a finish haha

Wow. I just looked through my favourites for an hour trying to find this one picture, and it was SO worth it. I find it is the best deviation I have ever seen, and that you deserve a DD for it.

The whole scene looks fairly simple, but yet so real that it seems like it's right in front of me, as if I can just reach out and touch Tenrai. Also, the glowing orbs in the scene are very crucial to this painting, as they emphasize the effect of magic and mystery, which would be dull if it was just coming from the gate. The trees in the background look fairly simple, but help with the localization of this picture by showing you that this gate stands in the middle of the forest.

Overall, I think this is an amazing piece, and it just makes me want to come back and look at it, over and over again. <3
