Toothless Markings Sketch

I love his markings too. They were a lot more subtle in the second movie, but they are still there.  I think they work like spots on a baby deer that disappear as they reach adulthood.  Also I appreciated how the markies look like leopard spots since he is based off a panther so its a pretty cool concept.  Also adds character to him instead of being a pure black dragon.  So creative and clever on the creators part,  The animators never cease to amaze me with this amazing franchise.
